Our Mandate
“The Canadian Association of Genetic
Counsellors is committed to ensuring that individuals seeking genetic
counselling services in Canada are receiving these services from an
individual with a standard level of competence.
The process of certification and recertification has been adopted by
most professional organizations as a mechanism for assessing the knowledge
and skills of its practitioners.”
Important information
Examination Date: Every two
years (odd-numbered years), immediately prior to the CAGC Annual Conference
Application Deadline: Applications must be received in the Administrative
office on or before May 1st of the examination year. Applications received
after this date will be subject to a late fee.
Completed applications for the examination, appeal letters, or any questions
regarding the Certification process should be directed to the Administrative office of the
CAGC.
