For the above mentioned meetings, the
number of CECs assigned will be noted on the CAGC website prior to the

event of an audit.
CEC Assignment for
Educational Meetings (updated May 2010)
Unrecognized Educational Sessions
For all remaining meetings each
individual must submit to the chair of the CEC Subcommittee:
-
-
Copy of the conference agendaincluding speaker names, titles of the presentations and the start and finish time for each session
-
Administration fee of $10
payable to the CAGC (non-refundable)
-
Proof of attendance (certificate from the conference organizer or official receipt of payment)
Once approved, an acceptance letter
will be sent to the individual
within 60 days, listing the number of CECs assigned. That meeting will
then be approved for that individual only, and not for all conference
attendees. Each individual is then required to maintain the original
letter along with an official receipt of payment of the conference fee,
when possible. If a receipt is not issued, a copy of the agenda along
with the original acceptance letter must be retained by the individual
for their files. Individuals requesting CECs for unrecognized educational
sessions MUST submit the required documents within 3 months following
the end of the educational session.
Please
NOTE:
1) Not all unrecognized educational sessions that are
approved for CEUs by the ABGC/NSGC will necessarily be approved for CECs
by the CAGC Certification Board as well.
2) Those individuals who received approval for an unrecognized session prior to March 2010 must also maintain proof of attendance in the event that their recertification application is audited.
3) For educational sessions that are considered narrow in focus, a maximum of 15 CECs will be granted.
4) Online educational courses that include an evaluation component will be considered for CECs. Online journal clubs will not.
